Co-Head Coaches DeAndre Pryor and Levar Castillo have the Lynwood High School Football team on track to make it to the CIF-SS Finals for the second year in a row. They have defeated the Whittier Christian Heralds by a score of 42-20. Senior Tekhi Green rushed for two touchdowns, and sophomore wide receiver/defensive back Lucio Camacho caught a long touchdown pass from Jordan Sewell to extend the lead. Elijah Hayden stepped up on the defensive end with a late pick six, and Israel Hayden added a special teams return for a touchdown to seal the deal. Up next is a matchup against Hawthorne High School for a chance to punch their ticket to the Division 14 CIF Southern Section Championship.
